Because when you’re wildly in love with someone, it changes everything.
I’ve noticed something about people who make a difference in the world: They hold the unshakable conviction that individuals are extremely important, that every life matters. They get excited over one smile. They are willing to feed one stomach, educate one mind, and treat one wound. They aren’t determined to revolutionize the world all at once; they’re satisfied with small changes. Over time, though, the small changes add up. Sometimes they even transform cities and nations, and yes, the world.
When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you’ll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time.
I’m really the first “bearded” Gospel man in my family. But the first time I saw a grown man cry- I walked in my Grandad’s livingroom and saw him crying with his Bible open and I asked him why he was crying. He said “because he was so happy.” I knew then it was ok for men to cry and God’s glory is the best reason for it.
